About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Auto Body Repair Technician to join our team at Town Autobody and Car Sales ltd. As an Auto Body Repair Technician, you will be responsible for repairing and restoring vehicles to their original condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimate repair costs based on damage examination reports and provide accurate quotes to customers.
  • Inspect repaired vehicles to ensure they meet our high standards of quality and safety.
  • Test drive vehicles to ensure proper handling and performance.
  • Clean and maintain the work space to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Replace front end components, body components, doors, and frame and underbody components as needed.
  • File, grind, and sand body surfaces to be repaired, and apply primers and paint to restore the vehicle's original finish.
  • Mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting, and apply coatings to protect the surface.
  • Hammer out dents, buckles, and defects using blocks and hammers, and remove damaged fenders, panels, and grills as needed.
  • Repair or replace interior components, including seats, carpets, and trim.
  • Repair or replace damaged windows, windshields, and sunroofs, and mix paint to match the original color.
  • Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents, and seams, and straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment.
Work Environment

As an Auto Body Repair Technician, you will work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with a team of experienced technicians. You will be exposed to dust, noise, and odors, and will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in the automotive repair industry.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work accurately and efficiently.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues and customers.
