Technical Lead

Ubisoft Entertainment is seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead to join our Data Platform Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the Core Infrastructure team and driving technical decisions to scale, optimize, and operate the transversal infrastructure of the group.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in DevOps, Cloud, and Security, with expertise in infrastructure automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation. Experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS and/or Azure, is also essential. Additionally, proficiency in Kubernetes and knowledge of GitOps CD tools, especially ArgoCD, is required.
The Technical Lead will be responsible for mentoring developers on the team at a technical level, while also managing their evolution. They will empower team members to navigate ambiguity with confidence, fostering a shared sense of responsibility and ownership. The role also involves working closely with other teams to enable them and contribute to the group technical alignment.
We are looking for a strong collaborator with excellent communication skills, who can effectively work with colleagues to drive technical decisions and promote best practices within the DevOps/Infrastructure community.
Responsibilities:- Own the global technical vision and drive technical decisions for the core infrastructure.
- Contribute to the team and be a hands-on problem-solver to face challenges.
- Ensure technical decisions align with quality, performance, scalability, reliability, and security goals while promoting engineering excellence.
- Mentor developers on the team at a technical level while also managing their evolution.
- Empower team members to navigate ambiguity with confidence, fostering a shared sense of responsibility and ownership.
- Work in close collaboration with other teams to enable them and contribute to the group technical alignment.
- Promote best practices within the DevOps/Infrastructure community.
- Monitor technological advancements and trends to help develop best practices.
- Advanced experience as a technical lead or senior infrastructure developer, with a strong background in DevOps, Cloud, and Security.
- Expertise in infrastructure automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation.
- Extensive experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS and/or Azure.
- Proficient in Kubernetes and knowledgeable about GitOps CD tools, especially ArgoCD.
- Solid understanding of network and security concepts, with the ability to balance big-picture thinking and attention to detail.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for effective teamwork and discussions with colleagues.
