Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Canadian immigration and refugee lawyer to join our team as a full-time contractor. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of legal experience in Canadian immigration law and be able to provide exceptional written and oral advocacy services.

  • Temporary Resident and Permanent Resident
  • Economic and Business Immigration
  • Immigration Litigation (Appeals and Judicial Review)
  • Strategic Litigation and Advocacy
Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Preparing and submitting immigration applications
  • Drafting legal submissions and applications
  • Representing clients in court
  • Liaising with government departments, courts, and tribunals
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, applicants must have:

  • A minimum of 2 years of legal experience in Canadian immigration law
  • Experience in preparing and submitting immigration applications
  • Experience in preparing for and attending hearings in Federal Court
  • Clerkship experience at the Federal Court of Canada
  • Interest in the intersection of AI and immigration
  • Civil or criminal litigation experience
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills
Compensation

The estimated take-home fee split ranges between CDN $120,000 and CDN $200,000 per year, depending on the lawyer's level of experience.
