Job Description
We are seeking an HSE Management System Expert to join our Ontario Region team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HSE management systems, with experience in developing and implementing comprehensive health and safety plans. They will also possess excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify alternate solutions.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing work-related injury claims and developing return-to-work plans. They will also support the Regional HSE team with the coordination and completion of annual internal and external Certificate of Recognition (COR) audits in Ontario, and facilitate Joint Health and Safety Committees/Health and Safety Representative requirements for offices, materials testing laboratories and active construction project sites.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a degree or diploma in Health and Safety, or other job-related field, with a minimum of 8-10 years of health and safety experience preferably in the areas of construction, environmental services, materials testing, hazardous remediation; and/or engineering consulting. You will also require possession or currently in pursuit of CRSP designation or equivalent, and proven knowledge, understanding and work experience with Canadian/Ontario occupational health and safety laws, regulations, and standards relevant to GHD's activities.
