THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced Air Export Coordinator to join our team. As an Air Export Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating the export of goods by air, ensuring that all necessary documents are completed accurately and on time.

You will work closely with our sales department to negotiate rates and quotes for services, as well as coordinate shipments and provide information and alerts to customers.

The ideal candidate will have formal academic training in a related field and two to four years of experience in a similar role. You will also possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide excellence in customer service and a first point of contact for client inquiries, concerns, and complaints.
  • Assist with the Air Export operation and sales, ensuring accurate processing of paperwork to minimize errors.
  • Complete accurate monthly reports as requested by management and customers.
  • Coordinate shipments, provide information and alerts for air export customers, and support the sales department in negotiating rates and quotes for services.
  • Maintain accurate filing systems, update/input details of shipments in system, and ensure accuracy for billing.
  • Assist the division/department manager in the effective maintenance of the company's ISO Policies. Participate in meetings and overall objectives for the terminal.
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
  • Receive guidance with respect to general objectives in most tasks and projects assigned. Determined methods, work sequence, scheduling, and how to achieve objectives of assignments; operate within specific policy guidelines.
  • Provide backup support within the department during busy periods, vacations, and unexpected employee absences.
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
  • Perform all other job-related duties as required by management.
