Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Scheduler to join our team in Sudbury, ON. As a Scheduler, you will play a critical role in planning and scheduling operations for mining projects. Your primary responsibilities will include working with resource-loaded schedules, work breakdown structures, and man-hour budgets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish project baseline data by interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
- Develop Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) to facilitate effective project planning.
- Build network diagrams showing activity relationships using the Critical Path Method (CPM).
- Develop viable schedules for projects, analyzing schedule constraints and activity relationships.
- Calculate schedule duration using CPM.
- Conduct manpower planning and forecasting, including generating man-hour budgets.
- Efficiently load, monitor, and generate reports using P6 Primavera scheduling software.
- Analyze risks, assumptions, and scope to revise time and resources estimates as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A diploma or degree in construction management, business administration, or engineering.
- Equivalent combination of training and technical work experience.
- At least 5 years of previous scheduling experience in a similar role.
- High proficiency with P6 Primavera software and scheduling.
- Experience in the mining industry is highly valued.
- Ability to set and manage priorities with changing deadlines and priorities.
- Ability to review and understand engineering, procurement, and construction schedules.
