About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cabinetmaker to join our team at Diamond View Kitchens. As a Cabinetmaker, you will be responsible for creating high-quality cabinets and furniture pieces that meet our customers' expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Study plans and specifications to understand the requirements of each project
  • Operate computer-aided design (CAD) software to create detailed designs and plans
  • Trim joints and fit parts together to form complete units, ensuring a high level of precision and quality
  • Sand and finish wooden surfaces to a high standard, applying veneer, stain, or polish as required
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to health and safety protocols
  • Estimate costs and materials required for each project, ensuring efficiency and accuracy
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in cabinetmaking or a related field
  • Equivalent experience or training may be considered
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Working Conditions

This is a permanent, full-time position, working 40 hours per week. The successful candidate will be required to work in a non-smoking environment and will be expected to maintain a high level of physical fitness, including standing for extended periods.

Language and Work Environment

The primary language of work is English, and the successful candidate will be required to work in a team environment, demonstrating efficient interpersonal skills and a strong work ethic.
