Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced legislative drafter to join our team. As Senior Legislative Counsel, you will provide expert advice and guidance on legislative proposals made by ministries, draft complex bills and regulations, and mentor junior legislative drafters.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide high-quality legal advice and guidance on legislative proposals made by ministries
• Draft complex bills and regulations in accordance with Legislative Counsel Office standards
• Mentor junior legislative drafters to assist them in developing their skills and expertise
• Work collaboratively with ministry officials to understand their policy goals and objectives
• Stay up-to-date with changes in legislation and regulatory policies

Required Skills and Qualifications
• A Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) or Juris Doctor (JD) degree
• Minimum 10 years of experience as a legislative drafter, preferably in a government setting
• Strong knowledge of government legislation and regulatory policies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
