As a Site Lead with the Canadian Cancer Society, you will play a critical role in the success of our Relay For Life events. Your leadership and organizational skills will be essential in ensuring the smooth execution of our community events.
Key Responsibilities:- Support Committee Leads in event logistics, including venue selection, tent station locations, and setup/takedown.
- Secure materials and oversee site design, setup, and teardown.
- Plan and provide for physical needs of activities and entertainment on event day.
- Coordinate deliveries and pickups for the Relay event.
- Work with other leads to determine the site schedule for the day.
- Organize the site and respond to requests from committee members.
- Submit applications and permits as required.
- Design a track experience that motivates participants to keep walking on event day.
- Ensure security of the venue and participants.
- Inventory event materials, including signs, materials, and masks.

We will provide you with online resources, training, and support to help you lead the logistics side of our community events.
You will be supported by the Relay Director, Logistics, and have the opportunity to learn and mentor within the larger Relay community.
Your Commitment:- This is an important leadership role requiring an ongoing level of commitment, including regular monthly meetings with the committee.
- You will arrange details with suppliers and identified sponsors between committee meetings.
- You will communicate consistently and regularly with volunteers, the Relay Director, Logistics, and other team members.
- As the event date approaches, your time commitment will increase, and your leadership will be critical in creating a sense of accomplishment for all participants.
