We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installer and Finisher to join our team at Zed Drywall Ltd. This is a full-time position, offering a competitive salary of $45,000 - $60,000 per year.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and finishing drywall in commercial and residential settings. This includes applying successive coats of compound, cutting and installing metal corner beads, fabricating and installing suspended metal ceiling grids, and taping over joints using a taping machine.

You will work independently and as part of a team to ensure high-quality results under tight deadlines. The ideal candidate will have excellent hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and the ability to stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities:
  • Apply successive coats of compound to smooth out surfaces
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
  • Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound
  • Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets
  • Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in this field of employment
  • Ability to work in various locations, including commercial and residential settings
  • Reliability, dependability, and flexibility
Work Environment:

This is a physically demanding job that requires working under pressure with tight deadlines. You will be required to stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, kneel, and walk frequently.
