Healthcare Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate healthcare assistant for a permanent part-time position in our care team. This role involves administering medication, updating resident files, responding to emergencies, and collaborating with other departments.

• Administer medication according to safety principles and the code of ethics
• Maintain trust and communication with families and stakeholders
• Ensure medical follow-ups and good communication with actors involved
• Update and maintain resident medical files and prescriptions
• Notify nurse and/or health services manager of changes in resident health status
• Record notes in resident files according to OIIAQ requirements

• Degree in nursing (DEC) or professional studies diploma (DEP) in healthcare assistance, nursing
• Minimum 2-3 years experience
• OIIAQ membership
• Working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook software
• Knowledge of retirement homes is an asset
• Good team player and communication skills
