Forensic Pathologist

The Government of Saskatchewan is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Forensic Pathologist to join our team in the Ministry of Justice and Attorney General. As a Forensic Pathologist, you will be responsible for conducting postmortem examinations, providing expert opinions, and collaborating with coroners, police, lawyers, and families to improve the health, safety, and quality of life of Saskatchewan citizens.
The ideal candidate will have a medical degree from a recognized university, eligibility to be licensed with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan, and a specialty certification in anatomical or general pathology with formal training in Forensic Pathology. A Certification in Forensic Pathology through a recognized national examination is also required.
The successful candidate will be required to obtain the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certification in Forensic Pathology within three years of appointment. A valid Saskatchewan driver's license is also required for occasional travel.
The Government of Saskatchewan offers a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits package, educational expenses up to a maximum of $4,000 per year, vacation, scheduled days off, and flexible work arrangements.
