We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Store Supervisor to join our team at Affordable Mattress & Furniture. As a key member of our store operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our sales floor and ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities:- Assign Sales Workers to Duties: Effectively manage and allocate tasks to our sales team to ensure maximum productivity and customer satisfaction.
- Hire and Train Staff: Recruit, train, and develop our sales team to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide excellent customer service.
- Order Merchandise: Coordinate with our purchasing team to ensure that our store is stocked with the latest products and trends.
- Establish Work Schedules: Create and manage work schedules to ensure that our sales floor is adequately staffed at all times.
- Prepare Reports: Analyze sales data and prepare reports to identify areas for improvement and optimize our sales strategies.
- Supervise and Coordinate Activities: Oversee the daily activities of our sales team and ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively.
- Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Experience an asset.
- Language: English.
- Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
- Provides diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees.
- Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
