Job Title: Montessori Educator

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Montessori Educator to join our team at Solid Foundations Montessori School Inc. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and supportive environment that fosters the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers and lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest.
  • Order supplies and equipment, assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records, and encourage children to express creativity through various media.
  • Engage children in activities, guide and assist them in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits, and observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems.
  • Establish guidelines for behavior, attend staff meetings, and establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers.
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • First Aid Certificate, Montessori Early Childhood Teacher Certificate, and CPR Certificate.
  • Criminal record check, Child Abuse Registry check, and Vulnerable sector check.
