Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our financial services team, you will be responsible for preparing annual financial statements, staying current on new accounting developments, and coordinating internal and year-end audits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare accurate and timely annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS guidelines.
  • Accounting Development: Stay up-to-date on the latest accounting trends and developments relevant to our company, producing technical memos as needed.
  • Audit Coordination: Coordinate internal and year-end audits to ensure seamless execution and compliance.
  • Management Reporting: Prepare customized executive-level management financial reports, review and provide feedback on reporting prepared by other associates.
  • Presentation and Communication: Present financial reports and written analysis to senior leadership and external stakeholders, providing clear and concise insights into financial performance.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for efficiency and control improvements, propose solutions, and drive implementation.
  • Business Acumen: Educate business areas on the financial implications of their decisions, recommending optimal or preferred solutions to influence strategic direction.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate in and frequently lead cross-functional teams responsible for implementing projects supporting division or firm-wide objectives.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
  • Experience: 6+ years of relevant work experience, including technical accounting research and advanced financial analysis skills.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Intermediate to advanced understanding of accounting processes and financial statements, ability to summarize complex financial information, and clearly communicate to associates and leadership.

  • Advanced Degree: Holding an MBA, MAcc/MAC, or MSA can be advantageous.
  • Professional Certifications: Being a CPA is highly valued.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with PeopleSoft financials and IFRS can be beneficial.

Estimated Salary Range: $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on location and qualifications.
