About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cultural Liaison to join our team at Living Space. As a key member of our community outreach program, you will be responsible for building relationships with local stakeholders and promoting our services.

Job Description

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. They will also possess a strong understanding of cultural differences and be able to provide support to clients from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare reports and case histories to document client progress and outcomes.
  • Implement life skills workshops and programs to promote client well-being.
  • Assess client skill strengths and development needs, and provide guidance on how to improve.
  • Conduct follow-up assessments to ensure client goals are being met.
  • Liaise with other social services agencies and healthcare providers to coordinate care.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of Cree, Ojibwa, and Algonquian languages an asset.
  • Experience working with homeless populations and non-profit organizations an asset.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
What We Offer
  • A competitive salary range of $50,000 - $65,000 per year, based on experience.
