Grandview Kids is seeking a highly skilled Business Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a critical role in supporting the Social Enterprise program and ensuring the smooth operation of our business.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in activities for Social Enterprise and Therapeutic Recreation programs, including client correspondence, intake documentation, and online registration management.
- Contribute to receivable account activities, including data entry, tracking, and implementing client financial agreement policies, invoicing, payment processing, and account reconciliations.
- Screen and respond to inquiries from internal and external sources regarding receivable accounts.
- Act as a backup to finance and corporate services team members as required for committees and projects.
- Assist in full-cycle accounting functions for specific business segments at Grandview Kids.
- Support payment collection, tracking, and revenue recognition of facility and pool rentals.
- Analyze Social Enterprise revenue streams to facilitate pricing and scheduling decisions within the Finance department.
- Communicate effectively with all staff, clients, and families, and representatives of outside organizations in a positive and professional manner.
- University degree in business or a related field is required.
- Other relevant business certificates/courses or equivalent experience.
- 2-3 years of experience in a finance/accounting position.
- Accounts receivable and/or accounts payable experience required.
- Knowledge of and ability to learn new accounting application software is required.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Experience working with MS Office, in particular Word, Outlook, and SharePoint; as well as Point of Sale (POS) systems.
- Working knowledge of electronic health records systems is an asset.
- Understanding of Access OAP program and funding requirements is an asset.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Ability to set priorities and time management.
- Ability to work within multi-disciplinary teams.
- Valid Ontario Driver's License and reliable vehicle, or appropriate transportation.
