Lead Educator for School-Age Children

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Educator for school-age children to join our team at Alberta Inc.
About the RoleThis is a permanent, full-time position that requires a strong commitment to supporting the development of young minds. As a Lead Educator, you will play a vital role in planning and implementing engaging activities that promote physical, cognitive, emotional, and social growth.
Duties and Responsibilities- Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
- Tell stories, teach songs, and lead educational activities that encourage learning and exploration.
- Collaborate with other educators to plan and organize activities that cater to different age groups and abilities.
- Prepare healthy snacks and maintain a safe and clean environment for children.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to share progress and discuss any concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of children's development and progress.
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Experience working with children aged 5-12 in a childcare setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- A Child Development Assistant (ECE Level 1) certification.
This position requires a minimum of 35 hours per week, with regular working hours from Monday to Friday. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, requiring adaptability and flexibility.
