Senior Business Journalist

Bloomberg is seeking a seasoned business journalist to lead our Toronto bureau. As a senior business journalist, you will be responsible for breaking exclusive news, producing timely analysis, and writing insightful feature stories that grow our brand and enhance our value to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of financial markets, company news, and current economic trends in Canada
  • Work closely with our journalists to break news and produce high-quality enterprise stories
  • Elevate the work of the Toronto team while working effectively with editors across the Bloomberg newsroom
  • Attract top industry leaders to speak with us to build the visibility of our coverage

Requirements:

  • At least five years of experience working in daily news journalism with a focus on business, finance, or economics
  • An ability to understand and synthesize developments in Canadian business as part of a global picture
  • A collaborative spirit and an ability to manage real-time feedback
  • A high energy level and the capacity to move easily across different subjects
