We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Brilliant Kids Montessori Childcare Centre. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers and lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest.
  • Order supplies and equipment, assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records, and encourage children to express creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity.
  • Engage children in activities, guide and assist them in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits, and prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
  • Establish guidelines for behavior, attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children, and establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children.
  • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children, and plan and organize activities for school-age children in child-care programs before and after regular school hours.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants.
Requirements:
  • Child development assistant (ECE level 1) certification.
  • Emergency child care first aid and CPR certification.
  • Basic security clearance.
Work Environment:

The work environment is a child care centre with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling, and manual dexterity required. The work is physically demanding with repetitive tasks and attention to detail required.
