We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at MacLeod House Baddeck.
About the RoleThis is a permanent position with a bi-weekly schedule of 24 hours. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care, including administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patients' health status and report any changes or concerns to supervisors.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Perform routine tasks such as vital sign checks, wound care, and personal care assistance.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A diploma in nursing from a recognized institution.
- Licensure as a Registered Psychiatric Nurse by provincial authorities.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably in a hospital or long-term care setting.
