Key Responsibilities
- Analyze Request for Quote material from internal customers to determine the structure for supporting business needs from a product perspective.
- Develop strategies and negotiate with carriers to secure competitive rates for specific trade lanes.
- Present strategies with industry trend background information to upper management and final rates for approval.
- Prepare and file contracts internally and with FMC, ensuring all applicable steps and backup materials are in order.
- Utilize internal systems (rate tables, contract management systems, etc.) to retrieve current and benchmark requests for new rates.

Required Skills and Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 4 to 5 years of job-related experience
- In-depth knowledge of the product line and services
- Experienced in strategy development of competitive rates for specific trade lanes
- Familiar with internal systems (rate tables, contract management systems, etc.) to retrieve current and benchmark requests for new ocean rates
- Experience in contract preparation and the requirements for FMC filings
