About the Role

The Fire Suppression Systems Designer will work closely with engineers and senior technical staff to develop designs and drawings for fire suppression systems in the buildings engineering industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager and technical staff to deliver completed projects on time.
  • Work with the project team to resolve issues during construction.
  • Maintain open communication and coordinate work with the Project Manager, staff, and project team members.
  • Stay up-to-date with applicable building codes and standards.
  • Work independently on typical design problems, seeking guidance from senior staff for complex issues.
Requirements
  • Passion for design and self-improvement through learning.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to identify and meet client expectations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office 365 suite and AutoCAD (2D).
  • Knowledge of MS Excel and other routine design tools.
  • Ability to apply common codes and standards to routine design problems.
Qualifications
  • Graduation from a technical university or college diploma program in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 2-8 years of industry experience in fire suppression and life safety systems design.
  • Certificate in Fire Suppression Design from an accredited institution (preferred).
