Job Title: Senior Design Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Design Technologist to join our team at Enova Power Corp. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong background in electrical distribution systems and project management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and prepare projects for overhead and underground electrical distribution systems, as well as customer connections.
  • Provide guidance and instruction to outside parties on modifications to the electrical distribution system.
  • Assist in the development of standards, template calculations, and guidelines for engineering projects.
  • Coordinate activities with stakeholders and ensure all necessary permits and approvals are in place before construction begins.
  • Prepare estimates, work schedules, and materials lists, and order materials consistent with project timelines.
  • Inspect contractors and completed work to ensure ENOVA standards are met and complete Construction Verification documents for underground civil projects.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, handle construction change orders, and complete project close activities.
  • Review and confirm all project-related invoices and provide guidance to new employees in attained areas of expertise.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education in Engineering Technology or a related discipline.
  • CET Designation.
  • Basic knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety requirements.
  • Advanced knowledge of Utility Construction Standards and ENOVA Conditions of Service.
  • Intermediate knowledge of ENOVA Metering Specifications and industry regulations and standards.
  • Intermediate knowledge of AC electrical theory, Construction and Surveying Methods.
  • Valid Class "G" driver's license.
