We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced PET Imaging Technologist to join our team at BC Cancer. As a PET Imaging Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality imaging services to patients undergoing PET/CT scans.
Key Responsibilities- Imaging and Patient Care: Perform PET/CT scans, prepare patients for imaging procedures, and provide exceptional patient care and support.
- Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Operate and maintain PET and CT equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards.
- Quality Control and Assurance: Participate in quality control and assurance activities to ensure accurate and reliable imaging results.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, including radiologists, physicians, and other technologists, to ensure seamless patient care and imaging services.
- Certification and Education: Certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) in Nuclear Medicine and completion of formal PET/CT education.
- Experience: Three (3) years of recent experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, with a strong background in PET/CT imaging.
- Skills and Knowledge: Strong knowledge of PET/CT imaging principles, radiation safety, and patient care practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
