We're seeking talented Pharmaceutical Computational Biologists to join our innovative Life Sciences team in Toronto and contribute to cutting-edge research projects.


Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform sophisticated computational analyses to identify cell types, states, genes, and pathways associated with clinical outcomes using single-cell and bulk RNA-seq data
  • Contribute to the creation of intuitive interfaces and comprehensive reports for exploring clinical, biomarker, and RNA-seq data
  • Conduct integrative analyses of diverse data modalities to uncover associations with clinical outcomes and other relevant variables
  • Engage closely with computational and wet lab scientists, providing insights and contributing to ongoing research projects
  • Offer your expertise to enhance research initiatives, participate in brainstorming sessions, and present findings at team and departmental meetings
  • Help drive innovation by developing and deploying new tools and methodologies to support research objectives

Requirements:

  • PhD (preferred) or M.S. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in bioinformatics or computational biology, with a strong track record of data analysis and research contributions
  • Proficiency in R, Python, Unix, and Git
  • Experience with statistical analysis and analyzing both bulk and single-cell RNA-seq data
  • Familiarity with single-cell analysis tools and techniques
  • Experience with R Shiny for app development and deployment
  • Knowledge of clinical trial data and survival analysis methodologies
