About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Graphic Artist to join our team at Minuteman Press Downtown Calgary. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating visually stunning graphics and illustrations that meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Illustration
    • Estimate time to complete graphic designs and illustrations
    • Adapt existing illustrations to meet client requirements
    • Develop and produce realistic or representational sketches and final illustrations
  • Project Management
    • Co-ordinate all aspects of production for print, audio-visual or electronic materials
    • Consult with clients to establish the overall look, graphic elements and content of communications materials
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Work in a multidisciplinary environment with designers, writers, and other stakeholders
    • Establish guidelines for illustrators or photographers
    • Prepare sketches, layouts and graphic elements
  • Attention to Detail
    • Ability to distinguish between colours
    • Attention to detail in design and production
Requirements
  • Education
    • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in graphic design or a related field
