The Durham Catholic District School Board is seeking a qualified teacher to fill a Grade 1 FI-LTO position at one of our schools.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a Grade 1 class and providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students. The teacher will be expected to develop and implement lesson plans, assess student progress, and communicate with parents and colleagues as needed.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach a Grade 1 class and provide instruction in accordance with the Ontario curriculum
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of all students
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents
  • Communicate with parents and colleagues as needed
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities
Requirements:
  • Certification in good standing from the Ontario College of Teachers
  • Primary B certification
  • Experience working with students in a Grade 1 classroom
