About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Instrumentation Specialist to join our team at SMG Enterprises Ltd. as an Instrumentation Technician.

Key Responsibilities
  • Instrumentation and Control Systems
    • Inspect and test operation of industrial instruments and systems to ensure optimal performance.
    • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to determine work requirements and specifications.
  • Instrument Calibration and Maintenance
    • Calibrate and adjust system components, instruments, and equipment to ensure accuracy and precision.
    • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts as needed.
  • Troubleshooting and Repair
    • Use logical approach and problem-solving skills to identify and troubleshoot issues with instrumentation and control systems.
    • Repair and replace defective parts, and perform necessary adjustments to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Documentation and Reporting
    • Complete accurate and detailed test and maintenance reports, and maintain records of instrument calibration and maintenance activities.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Other trades certificate or diploma in a related field, such as instrumentation, electrical, or mechanical engineering.
    • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in industrial instrumentation servicing, preferably in a recognized employer environment.
  • Language and Work Environment
    • Fluency in English language, with ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment, with regular exposure to noise, dust, and other hazardous conditions.
