Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Go Developer to join our team in developing cloud-based applications. As a member of our Scrum team, you will design, deliver, operate, and support the creation of an innovative Event Broker for event distribution capability.

The Event Broker is a cloud-native, loosely coupled set of reusable data event services that provide greater resiliency, filtering based on payload, replay of past events, and scalable performance.

Your Responsibilities
  1. Design, implement, test, and quality assure your code.
  2. Contribute to test automation to enable continuous integration and delivery.
  3. Collaborate with the team and be an active member of self-empowered Scrum teams producing software using Agile principles and engineering-driven decisions.
  4. Be technically proactive, influencing the team with innovative and creative ideas.
  5. Write clean, tested, efficient code that fits well with high standards and quality requirements that will be reviewed regularly by teammates.
  6. Use Go, Docker, and Git to develop RESTful, clustered services in your everyday job.
  7. Interact with open-source communities for feature steering and bug fixes.
  8. Perform and participate in peer code reviews.
  9. Participate in the 24/7 on-call rotation with the team.
  10. Have a solid understanding and practice of Agile software development.
  11. Enjoy working in a collaborative team, fast-paced, and highly dynamic work environment.
  12. Have strong knowledge and experience in TDD, design patterns, and RESTful Services.
  13. Be willing to take responsibility and ownership for your work and the team's work without waiting for detailed instructions.
  14. Have a passion for delivering high-quality, fully tested, and documented code.
  15. Be willing to continuously learn new technologies and methodologies.
  16. Have strong team-oriented interpersonal skills, including humility and being open to giving and receiving feedback.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience with Java or Go programming language or equivalent and writing concurrent, high-volume, transactional code.
  • Experience working in a containerized cloud environment using Kubernetes.
  • Experience working in an environment with continuous delivery/continuous integration.
  • BA/BS degree in a computer-related field.
  • Good verbal and written English.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Kubernetes and related service mesh technologies like Istio, Linkerd, or Envoy.
  • Experience with enterprise application integration and/or data integration.
