About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Machine Shop Supervisor to join our team at Usinage et Fabrication Olympia inc. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our machine shop, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of machinists and machining and tooling inspectors, ensuring that all tasks are completed to the highest standard.
  • Prepare and submit production reports, highlighting any issues or concerns that may impact production.
  • Train and develop the skills of our team members, ensuring that they have the necessary knowledge and expertise to perform their roles effectively.
  • Ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
  • Operate and maintain computer numerical control (CNC) machines and automated or computerized control systems, ensuring that they are functioning correctly and efficiently.
Requirements
  • 5 years or more of experience in a machine shop or similar environment.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Knowledge of CNC machines and automated or computerized control systems, with the ability to operate and maintain them effectively.
