Rex Power Magnetics is seeking a skilled Design Engineer to lead the design of Dry Type Transformers, Air Core Reactors, and other power magnetics components. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and experience in transformer design.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement cost-efficient designs for high-power transformers
- Collaborate with production staff, testing, and quality departments to ensure seamless product development
- Contribute to design guides and support junior design staff
- Liaise with purchasing agents to procure materials and components
- Build and maintain engineering documentation, including drawings, manuals, and product certifications
- Develop new products to improve labor and material efficiency
- Provide technical support and answer customer inquiries on transformer-related matters
- Post-secondary education in Electrical Engineering
- 4-5 years of experience in transformer design and manufacturing
- Knowledge of business administration and computer skills
- Familiarity with hazardous locations and international directives
