Job Title: Data Engineering Specialist

Bombardier is seeking a highly skilled Data Engineering Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Aftermarket Cloud Data Platform team, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining our cloud-based data infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain ETL pipelines to ingest various sources of data, including IoT bulk transfers from our in-service aircraft.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and other stakeholders to ensure pipelines meet business needs and quality requirements.
  • Monitor and optimize pipelines for cost and performance, working closely with AI & Cloud Architect and ML engineers.
  • Enforce DevSecOps best practices and establish a robust governance to control data access and protect sensitive data.
  • Lead new initiatives and contribute to our culture of innovation and data-centric vision.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
  • Experience integrating ETL pipelines in a business context with proven benefits.
  • Experience deploying big data pipelines in the cloud.
  • Experience with AI/ML pipelines, Snowflake, Databricks, and time-series data.
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Bash, as well as data manipulation and analysis using Pandas or similar tools.
  • Result-driven, open-minded, curious, autonomous, and enthusiastic team player with excellent communication skills in English and French.
