Lifemark Health Group Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Mental Health Therapist to join our team at Lifemark Health Group in Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia. As a Counselling Therapist (RCT) or Social Worker (MSW), you will work with a diverse client base, providing counselling services for adults experiencing psychosocial problems related to injury, trauma, and mental illness.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide goal-focused, therapeutic services to alleviate distress and improve social and occupational functioning.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team conferences to discuss treatment plans and goals.
  • Deliver quality reporting and communication with stakeholders.
  • Work with adults from various third-party insurers and programs, including Traumatic Psychological Injury (TPI), Motor Vehicle Accident Victims (MVA), Long Term Disability (LTD), and Partners in Canadian Veterans Rehabilitation Services (PCVRS).

Licensing:

  • Fully licensed as an RCT with the Nova Scotia College of Registered Counselling Therapists.
  • OR Social Worker registered with the Nova Scotia College of Social Workers as an autonomous practitioner in good standing (Must have a Masters of Social Work).

Requirements:

  • Experience in case conceptualization and treatment of mental health symptoms in adults.
  • Clinical knowledge in areas of grief/loss, depression, anxiety, trauma, and adjustment issues.
  • Training and experience with cognitive behavioural therapy approaches (e.g., CBT, ACT, CPT).
  • Experience working as part of a multi/interdisciplinary team.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, solid judgement, and integrity.
