Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technician

American Iron and Metal is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join its team in Hamilton, Ontario.
\The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance, repair, and diagnostics of heavy machinery and equipment used in metal recycling operations. Responsibilities include conducting routine inspections and preventative maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, completing repairs and replacements of faulty components, and maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities.
\To be successful in this role, the candidate must possess 421A certification, previous experience as a 421A Mechanic, and a solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Additionally, they must be able to read and interpret equipment manuals and schematics, diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues, and adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines.
\This is a challenging role that requires a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and physical ability to handle the demands of the job. The selected candidate can expect a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience, plus benefits.
