We are seeking a highly skilled PLM Solution Architect to join our team at Raytheon Technologies. As a key member of our Information Technology organization, you will play a critical role in supporting our PLM roadmap, solution definition, and evolution, and help meet our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Enterprise PLM teams in identifying solution re-engineering opportunities aligned with our PLM roadmap.
- Implement solution improvement initiatives within our organizations around PLM, including the integration with other major IT applications (ERP, MES, CRM, etc.).
- Define the PLM Architecture and Security in alignment with our IT Enterprise architecture, establish best practices and standards, and ensure they are respected by 3rd party vendors involved in the implementation of PLM solutions.
- Review and sign-off deliverables from external vendors (code review and transfer in Source Code Management system, testing matrix, etc.).
- Play the role of Solution Architect for the implementation of PLM solutions in support of our projects.
- Drive the review of business requirements.
- Document/analyze the specifications for modification of PLM systems (functional specs, data model, and interfaces).
- Support SOW creation with PLM suppliers and support the project manager for project plan definition and execution.
- Ensure that project specifications are aligned with the overall PLM architecture, as defined by our PLM Competency Center.
- Participate in developing a coherent PLM S/W strategy with our PLM Competency and Enterprise architecture resources for inclusion in our roadmap.
- Participate in maintenance, problem resolution, and upgrade tasks in support to our PLM Application Maintenance & Support team.
- A bachelor's degree with 10+ years' experience.
- Experience in S/W architecture, implementation, and validation.
- A good understanding of PLM and experience with a leading commercial PLM platform (3D Experience/Team Center preferred).
- Experience in consulting, road mapping, transformational implementations.
- Experience in a PLM solution architect role for large projects, including use of offshore development teams.
- Result-driven with strong communications and teamwork skills.
- This position requires a very good knowledge of English to read and understand, on a daily basis, documentation and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and communicate in English with customers, suppliers, or international colleagues.
