About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Sports Instructor. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a variety of sports programs to residents of all ages and abilities.


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver sports programs for children, youth, adults, and seniors
  • Develop and maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment
  • Provide excellent customer service and promote the principles of physical literacy
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement program schedules and promotions
  • Maintain accurate records and reports as required

Requirements

We are looking for an individual who is:



  • At least 16 years of age
  • Available to work part-time evening and weekend shifts
  • Highly motivated and enthusiastic with a passion for sports and recreation
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)
  • High Five certified (or willing to obtain within three months)

Our competitive hourly rate ranges from $18.00 to $23.00 per hour, based on training and experience.

Qualifications and Requirements: Applicants must be a minimum of 16 years of age, with an athletic aptitude and some experience planning and leading programs. A current Emergency First Aid certification or equivalent 8-hour course is required. HIGH FIVE certification (available online through BCRPA) is required within three months of employment.
