We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Miner 2 to join our Mine Operations team at the Macassa Mine Site in Kirkland Lake, Ontario.
Responsibilities- Support mine operations and be part of the team underground, including services, construction, and shaft/maintenance.
- Perform mechanical cut and fill mining, non-captive stope, and/or undercut and fill mining, scoop draw point, haulage trackless, install and maintain underground pipe systems, ventilation, and maintenance.
- Competently perform all mining 3 & 4 functions (production and development).
- Demonstrate competence in relevant underground hardrock common core.
- Ensure housekeeping standards are met, keeping work areas clean and free from hazards.
- Communicate effectively with others, maintain accurate records, and align with daily tasks.
- Work collaboratively with the team to meet and exceed daily KPIs set by the supervisor.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Miner 3 or equivalent (more than 4 years of underground experience).
- Physically fit, self-starter with a can-do attitude.
- Tolerance for hot, cold, and humid environments.
- Demonstrated safety awareness.
- Literacy and numeracy to a minimum of year/grade 10.
