Strata Engineering is a leading engineering consulting firm specializing in building science. We are seeking a seasoned Project Manager to join our team in Burnaby, BC.
Key Responsibilities:- Project Scope Development: Collaborate with stakeholders to define project objectives and ensure adherence to engineering standards and technical feasibility.
- Scheduling and Resource Allocation: Coordinate with third-party vendors and internal resources to execute project tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Project Budgeting and Planning: Develop and manage project budgets and plans to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Workforce Management: Forecast workload and ensure staff utilization aligns with company expectations.
- Project Reporting: Provide weekly summaries to upper management, highlighting project progress, issues, and risks.
- Client Communication: Regularly communicate with clients to ensure their needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
- Tendering and Vendor Management: Oversee the tendering process, including vendor relationship management and contract administration.
- Performance Evaluations: Conduct performance evaluations for direct reports and provide coaching and development opportunities.
- Education: Bachelor's degree from a recognized institution or equivalent work experience in construction management.
- Experience: 5+ years of progressive project management experience, with a strong track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and client management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management software, including MS Project, Asana, or similar tools.
- PMP Certification: PMP certification or eligibility to receive within the next 12 months.
- Building Permit Experience: Familiarity with building permit application processes across lower mainland municipalities.
- Technical Writing: Experience with technical writing and quality management.
- CRM Experience: Experience with managing and updating a CRM system.
