The Opportunity:

Hudbay Minerals Inc. is seeking a Mine Surveyor to join our team at our Lalor Mine in Snow Lake, Manitoba. This is a full-time position with a 7/7 schedule and will report to the Chief Mine Engineer.

We offer a camp for those who wish to drive in and out to Snow Lake, and please note that this opportunity is not a fly-in-fly-out position.

Primary Function:

The successful candidate will be responsible for surveying and taking measurements of development headings and stopes to update plans, direct miners for line and grade, and gather information for bonus calculations.

Requirements:

  • Preference will be given to a graduate of an approved Technological or Engineering Program
  • Minimum of five (5) years underground planning and surveying experience
  • Excellent communication skills, computer literacy, and ability to work with minimal direction
  • Ability to drive underground
  • Please include all required tickets, training, education, or experience requirements to be considered qualified for the position

Compensation Package:

Profit sharing, full benefits package beginning day 1 of employment, and pension. Job Type: Full-time. Salary: $39.96-$43.88/hour.
