Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Overseas Cargo Transport Specialist to join our team at Pacific Ocean Transport Inc.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Obtain Special Permits and Documents: Secure necessary permits and documents for transporting cargo on international routes, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Vehicle Operation: Safely operate straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials across various locations.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure the vehicle's optimal condition.
  • Emergency Repairs: Perform emergency roadside repairs to minimize downtime and ensure timely delivery of cargo.
  • Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Inspections: Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to identify any issues with the vehicle or cargo.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent mechanical issues and extend the lifespan of the vehicle.
  • Cargo Handling: Safely handle and transport hazardous materials, adhering to strict safety protocols.
Documentation Requirements:
  • Accident Reports: Accurately document any accidents or incidents that occur during transportation.
  • Billing and Invoicing: Maintain accurate records of cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption for billing purposes.
  • Inspection Reports: Record detailed inspection reports for pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip checks.
  • Maintenance Records: Keep up-to-date records of vehicle maintenance and repairs.
  • Trip Reports: Submit comprehensive trip reports detailing any notable events or challenges encountered during transportation.
Communication and Navigation:
  • GPS Navigation: Utilize GPS and other navigation equipment to optimize route planning and ensure efficient transportation.
  • Trip Recording: Use onboard computers to record and track trip data, including time, location, and cargo details.
Requirements and Benefits:

To be considered for this role, you must have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a valid driver's license. We offer competitive compensation, ranging from $60,000 to $80,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
