About the Role:

Loblaw Companies Limited is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Asset Protection Representative to join our team. As an Asset Protection Representative, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our retail locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deter, detect, and apprehend theft and fraud within our retail locations
  • Collaborate with other Asset Protection Representatives to investigate provincial or national Organized Retail Crime (ORC) cases
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies to ensure a safe and secure shopping environment
  • Investigate internal theft and shrinkage, compiling and presenting evidence for court or arbitration purposes
  • Identify and mitigate potential shrink opportunities within our operational core compliance
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with store management and colleagues, providing coaching and mentoring on Asset Protection policies and procedures
  • Participate in conducting store-level audits to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Participate in community events to promote a positive image of the company and enhance community relationships

Requirements:

  • Valid Provincial Security Guard License required
  • Basic understanding of the Criminal Code of Canada, Trespass to Property Act, and Powers of Arrest, as well as CCTV and/or surveillance systems
  • Proficiency in Windows-based applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Professional, friendly, and approachable demeanor
  • High degree of initiative and integrity required to succeed in a dynamic environment
