We are seeking a skilled Transportation Mechanic to join our team at T&R Truck Repair Limited.

  • Job Summary: This is a highly demanding and rewarding role that requires a strong understanding of commercial vehicle systems and excellent technical skills.
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Inspect and Test Mechanical Units: Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions, and perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning and lubricating components.
    • Repair and Replace Parts: Repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems, including brakes, transmissions, and engines, in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
    • Communicate with Supervisors: Communicate findings with supervisors to determine the best course of action for repairs and discuss work with them as needed.
    • Provide Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by advising customers on work performed and future repair requirements, and completing reports to record problems and work performed.

Requirements:

  • Certifications: Truck and Transport Mechanic Trade Certification, Truck and Transport Mechanic Red Seal Endorsement, Air Brake (Z) Endorsement, and Driver's License (Class 3 or D).
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in this field of employment.
  • Education: College/CEGEP or equivalent experience.
