We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Retail Store Supervisor to join our team at IN & OUT CONVENIENCE STORE. As a key member of our store operations team, you will be responsible for supervising staff, assigning sales workers to duties, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the store.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and Co-ordinate Activities: Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers, including assigning sales workers to duties and ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently.
- Staff Management: Hire, train, and arrange for training of staff, as well as authorize payments by cheque and order merchandise.
- Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory, including preparing reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters.
- Customer Service: Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages.
- Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment, requiring attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a retail or supervisory role.
- Personal Suitability: Organized, team player, and able to multitask.
- Accessibility: Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities.
- Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Supports newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition and provides diversity and cross-cultural trainings.
- Support for Youth: Offers on-the-job training tailored to youth and provides awareness training to employees.
- Support for Veterans: Offers workshops, counselling services, or other resources to help Veterans navigate their transition into the civilian workforce.
- Support for Indigenous People: Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees.
- Support for Visible Minorities: Applies hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities and provides diversity and cross-cultural training.
