Job Summary

VEP Mechanical Ltd is seeking a skilled plumber to join our team. As a journeyman/woman plumber, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems in various locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks, and waste and drainage systems.
  • Instruct apprentices and locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors.
  • Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings, and join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment.
  • Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges, and determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing.
  • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to the required shape and size.
Requirements
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience as a journeyman/woman plumber.
  • Other trades certificate or diploma.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle heavy loads.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Team player with accurate and efficient interpersonal skills.
