Senior Chef de Partie Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Chef de Partie to join our culinary team at Argus Properties. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for assisting the culinary management team in implementing and maintaining quality standards, while ensuring all kitchen policies, procedures, service, and safety standards are adhered to.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review daily production sheets and line check lists with colleagues.
  • Prepare your own station and delegate production of necessary food items in accordance with standards in a timely and efficient fashion.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating proper food handling, execution, and development within the work area.
  • Participate in training of culinary skills to junior staff and apprentices.
  • Adhere to standardized recipes and specifications to maintain consistency and ensure all standards are met.
  • Ensure workstation is clean and organized, sweeping and mopping floors, keeping countertops and stove tops clean, organizing dry storage.
  • Ensure station opening and closing procedures are carried out to standard, with completed check lists.
  • Ensure all food products are handled, stored, prepared, and served safely in accordance with hotel and government Food Safety guidelines.
  • Have full knowledge of all recipes and menu items, including what is served with and the cost on the menu.
  • Complete other job-related duties as assigned by Executive Chef & Sous Chefs.
Requirements:
  • In-depth skills and knowledge of all kitchen operations.
  • High school degree or its equivalent.
  • Certification of Culinary Training.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a first-class culinary environment.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a supervisory role in a fast-paced, fine dining environment.
  • Strong leadership, organization, and relationship skills.
  • Experience with training, basic financial management, and customer service.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of contemporary cooking styles and ingredients.
  • Proficient in general computer knowledge.
  • A true desire to exceed guest expectations in a fast-paced customer service environment.
  • Capable of producing a consistent product in a timely manner and in a high-pressure environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
