About the Role

This position requires a strong foundation in dietetics/nutrition and experience working in a hospital or facility-based setting. You will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating medical nutritional therapy according to established guidelines. Additionally, you will instruct and counsel patients and families on appropriate nutritional requirements, regimes, and food planning and preparation.

Key Responsibilities

- Establish and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Coordinate activities with medical staff, nursing teams, patients, and support agencies
- Organize workload, set priorities, and work with minimal supervision
- Effectively use computers and software applications

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree from a recognized university with a major in dietetics/nutrition or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited dietetic internship program
- Current licensure as a Dietitian with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC
- Eligible for membership with the Dietitians of Canada (DC)
- Experience as a practicing Dietitian preferred
