4-WAY TRAFFIC CONTROL LTD is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Freight Operations Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our freight management team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the activities of our freight operations staff, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Supervision: Lead and manage a team of 5-10 freight operations staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet their performance targets.
- Task Prioritization: Develop and implement effective plans to prioritize tasks and optimize freight operations, ensuring maximum efficiency and productivity.
- Operational Logistics: Oversee the operational logistics of our freight management team, including coordinating activities with other departments and work units.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit regular reports to management on freight operations performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Staff Management: Recruit, train, and develop staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory levels, ensuring that goods are stored and dispatched efficiently.
- Computer and Technology: Utilize MS Excel and MS Word to manage and analyze data, and to prepare reports and presentations.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in freight operations or a related field.
- Language: English.
- Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with attention to detail required.
- Personal Suitability: Accurate, organized, and reliable.
