At Merrithew Corporation, we are seeking an experienced Senior Cost Accountant to join our finance team. This role is a critical part of our cost management department, and the ideal candidate will have 7-10 years of experience in cost accounting, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory or managerial position.

Responsibilities
  • Cost Management: Implement and maintain the standard cost system for all products, including locally sourced and internationally procured goods, and manage the annual budgeted standard cost cycle.
  • Inventory Control: Oversee inventory valuation and reconciliation, monitor and maintain inventory reporting, and manage the RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) system.
  • Cost Analysis: Analyze cost variances and deviations from standard costs, prepare cost reports and analyses for management, and identify areas for cost reduction and process optimization.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with finance, procurement, and sourcing teams to prepare and manage cost-related budgets and forecasts.

We are offering a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent, with a major in Cost Accounting preferred. They will also have proficiency in using Sage 300 and Misys for cost accounting purposes, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and attention to detail.
