Job Title: Painter

We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team at Six Star Homes Inc. As a Painter, you will be responsible for preparing, cleaning, and sanding surfaces to be painted, repairing cracks and holes, and applying paint, wallpaper, and other materials to interior and exterior surfaces.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and repairing cracks and holes.
  • Mix paint to desired color and texture.
  • Apply paint, wallpaper, and other materials to interior and exterior surfaces.
  • Erect scaffolding and swing stages and attach rigging.
  • Advise consumers on colors and choice of wall coverings.
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in painting or a related field.
  • Permanent employment.
  • 40 to 44 hours per week.
  • English as the primary language of work.
Work Environment:

The Painter will work outdoors and in a variety of settings, including residential and commercial properties.

Equipment and Machinery Experience:
  • Airless spray equipment.
  • Brush painting.
  • Roller painting.
Surface Preparation Experience:
  • Drywall taping/patching.
  • Water/hydroblasting.
  • Flame cleaning.
Coating/Application Specialization:
  • Aggregate painting.
  • Paint spraying.
Security and Safety:
  • Bondable.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
  • Attention to detail.
  • Bending, crouching, kneeling.
Own Tools/Equipment:
  • Steel-toed safety boots.
Personal Suitability:
  • Client focus.
  • Flexibility.
  • Reliability.
